We would like to welcome all of our friends back from the school summer holiday. It has been nice for us spending a month re charging our batteries and working on new material for the new school year.
We have a packed few months to look forward to where we will be travelling County wide spreading our message.
We are looking forward to our Safeguarding Children course later this month and already have over 50 people booked for the event being held at the Essex County Cricket Club.

We are very excited to announce that we are running another 'Safeguarding Children in the 21st Century' course at the Essex County Cricket Club in Chelmsford on 15th September 2015.
When we last ran this course in June 2015 the places sold out within two weeks and some people were left disappointed
Feedback from the last course was exceptional and included:
‘Thought provoking, a great day of information, Thank You’
‘It was excellent, I feel much more informed and able to deal with issues arising at school’
‘The Policy was very thought provoking’
'Very informative and helpful, excellent delivery’
‘it was ‘real’ relevant training, I would really recommend everyone comes to this training’
‘I really like the presentation style, the guys made a very difficult subject enjoyable (almost) to learn about, very clear’
This course contains all new material and explores areas that are essential in regards to understanding the risks presented to children by people with a sexual interest in them. The course includes a live online demonstration of how children can be targeted online.
There will be a session covering how to interview a child so as to maximise the chances of establishing a truthful account of events. This will explore appropriate and inappropriate methods of communication
There will be a session exploring the types of policies required in school to deal with the new issues around internet/phone use that will also include a chance to talk through any issues delegates have had regards internet offending. The course also covers how to safeguard children in the online world.
There will be a new session titled 'Parallel Lines' that expands on what delegates may have seen us previously cover regards the links we can make between the activities of children in the past compared with today and how this knowledge can help us safeguard children.
We believe this course is unique and takes everything you may have seen us deliver in the past to a more advanced level.
The aim of the course is to significantly enhance your knowledge around the online exploitation of children and enable you to apply this knowledge within your working environment both when compiling policies and when talking to children about events that have affected them. Additionally we will give you a greater understanding of the safeguarding measures to be taken when a child makes a disclosure of sexual abuse.
This course is aimed at professionals working with children and would be of particular relevance to anyone working within a school or safeguarding children environment.
If you would like to book a place on this course please send us a message to us at ‘[email protected]’ requesting a booking form.
The cost of this course is an all inclusive cost of £110.00. The course runs from 0900 - 1600 and all refreshments and lunch are included.
Due to the high level of demand we will only be able to confirm a booking upon receipt of a booking form covering the event
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask us

We had the privilige of being asked to present a workshop at the recent Essex Primary Heads conference at Stockbrook Manor.
What a great event this proved to be, we met a lot of great people and now look forward to the opportunity of working with many of them in the future in a more localised setting within their own schools.
We would like to thank Pam Langmead for inviting us along and as always she made sure we were very well looked after.

Well, what a week we have had, it has been crazy.
We have met so many great people this week and feel like we have made a significant difference to the protection of children.
We started the week with a fantastic evening at Great Easton Primary School where hundred people came out to see us speak. When we left we were overwhelmed by the reception we had received.
After the event we were sent the following feedback:
Feedback from the evening was overwhelming and we cannot recommend attending a training session with John and John highly enough.
Some of the comments from parents were:
'Shocking- lots I didn't know.'
'Brilliant- I couldn't be more positive.'
'I thought I was internet savvy but I'm shocked.'
'Really made me think- incredibly valuable.'
'I now feel confident as a parent that I can guide and support my children inside this online world.'
Before we had a chance to truly reflect on the event we then presented at a large scale event or Thurrock Safeguarding Childrens Board. BBC Radio Essex had heard of the work we were doing and decided to attend the event.
We were interviewed at the event and we were then featured in an extended ifeature/interview on Thursdays Dave Monk show.
We now need time to prepare for the Thurrock Walkonline Roadshows being held at Blackshots Theatre in Grays next week and then the Headteachers Conference on 13/03/15
We would really like to thank the 150 or more people that have come to see us over the last few days and made this week so inspirational for us

What a week we have had!
We started the week in Frinton, then went to Saffron Walden and then spent two days in Thurrock.
This week was all about Internet Safety day and we feel that over the past week we have done our fair share of spreading the message regards online safety.
We have met some great people this week and caught up with others we havent seen for a while.
It was great to catch up with the ladies from Thurrock Safeguarding Childrens Board who had put together some fantastic flyers for our event.
We actually have a week off now but hit the ground running on 23/02/15 when we return to Rayne Primary to deliver the Online Explorers Roadshow followed by presentations to their staff and parents.

We have just come back from delivering an impactive parents session to many parents of primary school children in the Basildon area.
We would like to thank everyone for coming out on a freezing cold evening to see us speak. We hope that our message came across and that everyone feels better able to keep their children safe from the danger of strangers on the internet.
The event was really important for us as it was the first event that we have delivered for BEST and also the first we have delivered alongside Childline. We are excited about the work we are doing with Childline and if everything works out how everyone hopes then we could be doing some pioneering work with each other across the County.
Watch this space as they say!

What a week we have had this week!
On Monday and Tuesday this week we were busy delivering the 'Online explorers Roadshow' to over 800 year 5,6 and 7 in Maldon.
The reaction to the event was fantastic and after the closing event on Tuesday we both felt like we had made a real difference.
Hopefully many of the children in Maldon will now recognise some of the online dangers much earlier and feel empowered to do something about it.
We would like to thank the Blackwater Consortium for inviting us in to run the Roadshow and hope that they quickly get over us starting our sessions with current chart music!

What a few days we have had!
We are priviliged to have been invited to run one of the three workshops at the upcoming Essex Headteachers Conference being held at Stockbrook Manor on 13th March 2015. This means a lot to us as last year we presented at the Deputy Headteachers Conference and the feedback was fantastic. We guess they must have liked us or Im sure we wouldnt have made the shortlist for Stockbrook Manor. Sir Clive Woodward is also on the bill so I guess we will have to go some to trump him.
On another note we have now confirmed bookings at over 20 events over the next three months and are relishing the task of keeping our children safe and turning the cards on the predators that are targetting them.
